10 Important beauty habits
Do you like this story?
Our beauty depends on our daily beauty habits. Today let’s look at some important tips, tricks and beauty habits that every girl should be trying:
Exfoliate all over
Exfoliation is one of the most important parts of skin care both for your face and body. Do you want to have beautiful, healthy and radiant skin? If yes, then don’t neglect exfoliation. Exfoliation removes old dead cells from skin surface, revealing beautiful and healthy skin underneath. Moreover, if you apply your creams and lotions on previously exfoliated skin, all these skin care products will absorb much more easier and quicker. Leave your exfoliating products in your bathroom, it’ll make it easier for you to remember and use them.
Moisturize your body
Probably, we never forget to moisturize our face, but oftentimes many of us neglect moisturizing our body. We use body lotions once in a while or when our skin feels very dry. Instead, try using it every day. Cover yourself with your favorite body lotion (or use your favorite oil), your skin will love it and will say “thank you” by becoming soft, smooth and gorgeously glowing.
Use oils for beauty
If you look for a perfect body lotion, skin moisturizer and natural hair care product, search no more. Olive oil (or coconut oil) can become your “all in one” moisturizer. Use it to moisturize your face and body (rub it all over your body while in the shower), apply it on your lips as a lip balm, use it as your under eye cream, nourish your hair with it and care for your nails.
Protect your skin from the sun
I know, many of us live in places where the sun is not often around, but even on days when the sun isn’t out, harmful UV rays still can reach deep layers of your skin, damaging it from within; therefore, if you want to have beautiful and healthy skin for a longer period of time, don’t neglect sunscreen. Sun exposure is the main cause of premature aging and skin wrinkling. Chose a light weight sun block and use it on a daily basis, if you want your skin to be healthy and young.
Cleaning makeup brushes
How often should I clean my makeup brushes? Well, we definitely don’t need to clean them every day; according to many beauty experts, washing your makeup brushes twice a month is fine, once a week is perfect. Just dip your makeup brush in a warm soapy water (you can use a makeup brush shampoo or a soap). Rinse out your brushes with lukewarm water, blot with a towel and leave your brushes to dry overnight. Quick note: if you suffer from rosacea or have acne prone sensitive skin, it’s recommended to wash your makeup brushes daily, especially foundation and concealer brushes.
Don’t pump out mascara
If you want your mascara to last longer, avoid pumping it every time you apply it. Pumping or quickly moving the mascara wand up and down will only allow the air into the mascara tube, making your mascara to dry out quicker than it should. If you want your mascara to last for longer, avoid letting the air into the mascara tube.
Fight your pimples with tea tree oil
Pimples never appear at the right time, actually, they always tend to show up exactly at the wrong time! Tea tree oil has antibacterial, antiseptic, anti fungal properties and can be very efficient in fighting acne. Apply a tea tree oil directly on your pimple before going to sleep. I don’t promise that your pimple will disappear overnight (even though this is also possible), but you’ll definitely wake up with better condition.
Exfoliate your lips
When you brush your teeth, don’t forget to gently run your toothbrush over your lips to exfoliate. Then, apply some olive oil or your favorite lip balm on your mouth and enjoy soft, beautiful, kissable lips.
Drink water
Even though drinking water doesn’t sound like a beauty habit, it actually is an important one. Start your day with a tall glass of water (you can add some lemon and honey for that extra flavor boost). Water helps flash toxins out of the body, hydrates your whole system, making your skin look fresh, healthy and beautiful.
